What it does: Date difference calculator

Find out how many days there are between two dates, and see it in weeks, in years-months-days and as Monday-to-Friday weekdays. Handy for deadlines, holidays, contracts, ages or countdowns.

You decide whether the end date counts — the most common difference between calculators. Dates are treated as calendar days, so daylight-saving changes never affect the result.

Examples

Holiday

1 to 15 August including the end date: 15 days, 10 of which are weekdays in 2026.

Elapsed time

1 January to 31 December 2026 without the end date: 364 days.

Limits, formulas and assumptions

Weekdays only exclude Saturdays and Sundays; public holidays vary by country and region and are not deducted.
The month breakdown uses calendar months: 31 January to 28 February counts as one full month (there's no 31 February).
Supported range: years 1 to 9999 of the Gregorian calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Why does another site give me one day more or less?

Because of whether the end date is included. Tick the option to match what you need: usually included for stays and deadlines, not for ages.

Are leap years taken into account?

Yes: it uses the real calendar, so February has 29 days when it should.

Can I exclude public holidays?

Not yet. Subtract your local holidays from the weekday count manually.
