Sign PDF

Draw your signature and place it on any page of a PDF.

Runs in your browser

Up to 150 MB per file. It's processed in your browser: nothing is uploaded.

Choose the PDF you want to sign.

This adds a handwritten signature (an image) to the PDF, like signing on paper. It is not a certificate-based electronic signature: for procedures that require one, use your digital certificate.

What it does: Sign PDF

Signing a contract, a school permission slip or a form no longer means printing, signing and scanning. Draw your signature with your finger or the mouse, or use a photo of your signature on paper, and place it on any page.

You can also add text such as your name, ID number or today's date. The PDF is signed in your browser: it is never uploaded and nobody else sees it.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF you need to sign.
  2. Draw your signature or upload a photo of it signed on paper.
  3. Go to the page where it belongs, press “Place” and drag it into position; resize it from the corner.
  4. Add your name or the date if needed and download the signed PDF.

Examples

Rental agreement

Sign on the last page, add “Madrid, 20/10/2026” underneath and send the PDF to the landlord without touching a printer.

School permission slip

On your phone: open the PDF from the email, sign with your finger, type your child's name and download it.

Limits, formulas and assumptions

  • The signature is added as an image, just like a scanned paper signature. It doesn't replace the certificate-based electronic signature some official procedures require.
  • If you tick “Remember my signature”, it is stored only in this browser (local storage). Untick it to delete it.
  • Text supports Latin letters, accents, ñ and the € sign; other scripts are not available.
  • Password-protected PDFs can't be signed here.

Frequently asked questions

Is a signature like this legally valid?

It is a simple electronic signature: fine for many private documents (permission slips, forms, quotes), just like a scanned signature. For government procedures or contracts that require a qualified signature, use a digital certificate.

Is my document or signature uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF and the signature are processed in your browser. Only if you ask, the signature is saved on this device for next time.

Can I sign several pages?

Yes. Switch pages with “Previous” and “Next” and place the signature on each; everything is saved in the same PDF.

My photo signature has a grey background. What can I do?

Take the photo in good light, on white paper and without shadows. The tool makes light areas transparent; the more contrast, the cleaner it looks.
