What it does: Invoice generator

If you're a freelancer, do occasional jobs or need to send a quote, here's a PDF invoice ready in two minutes: your details, your client's, the items with their VAT and, if needed, tax withholding. Totals are calculated for you.

Next time you won't have to type it all again: your details, logo and last number are remembered on this device, and “Next invoice” fills in the right number. Nothing is sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. Choose the document type: invoice, quote or proforma.
  2. Fill in your details and your client's (name, tax ID and address).
  3. Add the items with quantity, price excluding VAT and each one's VAT rate; choose withholding if it applies.
  4. Check the totals and press “Download PDF”.

Examples

Limits, formulas and assumptions

  • A complete invoice usually needs a number and series, date, the names and tax IDs of issuer and recipient, addresses, description, subtotal, VAT rate and amount, and total.
  • If your sale is VAT-exempt, say so in Notes and cite the legal provision that applies.
  • Numbering must be sequential within each series: don't skip or repeat numbers.
  • Spain's VeriFactu rules will require companies and freelancers to use adapted invoicing software. Check with your accountant when it applies to you.

Frequently asked questions

What withholding should I use?

In Spain, self-employed professionals invoicing companies or other freelancers usually withhold 15%, or 7% in the year they register and the two following years. No withholding applies to private individuals.

What's the difference between invoice, quote and proforma?

An invoice records a sale and has tax effects. A quote and a proforma are proposals or advance requests with no tax value: they don't go in your invoice numbering.

Where is my data stored?

Only in this browser, and only if you leave the remember box ticked. Client details and items are not stored.

Can I add my logo?

Yes, a PNG or JPG under 300 KB. It appears in the top right corner of the invoice.
